Why are we being reimbursed?
During the period of the 9€-Ticket, the VRN (the local public transportation company) has suspended the contract with the Verfasste Studierendenschaft (constituted student body) regarding the semester ticket – and thus also the evening and weekend regulations that allow students even without the Semesterticket to take public transportation on evenings, weekends and holidays. The money paid for this was refunded to the VS and can be transferred back to the students.
Who is entitled to the refund?
All those who were enrolled at Heidelberg University in the summer semester of 2022 are entitled to the repayment.
How much will be reimbursed?
17,65 € per person will be refunded. This corresponds to the price of the Semesterticket share of 3 months.
How and when is it reimbursed?
From mid-June onwards, you will be able to make your claim via an online platform after registering with your university ID. The refund will then be made approximately 10 days later in each case.

What if I no longer study at Heidelberg University?
If you are no longer studying at the university, you can still make your claim. You must then prove, for example by means of an enrollment certificate, that you were enrolled in the summer semester of 2022. But always try first if you can still log in with your old university ID.
